Privacy Policy

What Amaya Chairs Ltd does with the information you send us, and what you can ask us to do about it.

01Who we are

Amaya Chairs Ltd ("Amaya Chairs", "we", "us") hires handcrafted Maiyan ceremony suites to customers across the UK. This policy explains what we do with personal information collected through https://amayachairs.co.uk.

We are the data controller for that information. For anything in this policy, contact us at amayachairs@outlook.com or on 07851 597266.

02Information we collect

When you send an inquiry through this website, we collect the information you type into the form:

  • your name
  • your phone or WhatsApp number
  • your email address
  • your ceremony date, if you give one
  • your town or postcode
  • the suite you are interested in, if you select one
  • anything else you write in the message box

If you contact us by WhatsApp, phone, email or social media instead, we hold whatever you choose to send us through that channel.

We do not ask for payment card details through this website, and we do not collect special category data.

03How we use it

We use your information to reply to your inquiry, to check availability for your date, to quote for delivery, and — if you go ahead — to arrange the hire, delivery and collection of your suite.

The lawful bases we rely on are our legitimate interests in responding to inquiries about our services, and the performance of a contract once a booking is made.

We do not add website inquiries to a marketing mailing list, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

04Website usage information

Our hosting provider processes standard technical information needed to serve the website securely and reliably, such as IP addresses and request logs. This is used to keep the site running and to protect it from abuse, including limiting how often the inquiry form can be submitted from one connection.

05Cookies and analytics

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not run third-party analytics or social media tracking scripts. Because of that, there is no consent banner — there is nothing non-essential to consent to.

If analytics or other non-essential tracking is added in future, we will ask for your consent before any such cookies are set, and will update this policy first.

06Who else sees your information

We use a small number of service providers to run the website and to deliver inquiries to us. They act on our instructions and only process information for those purposes:

  • our website hosting provider, which serves the site and keeps technical logs
  • our transactional email provider, which delivers inquiry-form submissions to our inbox
  • our email provider, which stores the inquiries we receive

If you contact us through WhatsApp or a social media platform, that platform will also process your message under its own privacy policy.

We may disclose information where we are legally required to do so, for example in response to a lawful request from an authority.

07How long we keep it

Inquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept only for as long as they remain useful for following up, and are then deleted.

Where a booking goes ahead, we keep the associated records for as long as we need them for the hire itself and for any legal, accounting or tax obligations that apply afterwards.

08Keeping it safe

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. The website is served over an encrypted connection, and access to inquiry emails is limited to the people who need it to run the business.

No method of transmitting or storing information online is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

09Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy
  • ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
  • ask us to delete information where there is no good reason for us to keep it
  • ask us to restrict how we use your information
  • object to processing carried out on the basis of our legitimate interests
  • ask us to transfer certain information to you or another provider

To exercise any of these, email amayachairs@outlook.com. We will respond within one month.

10Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK supervisory authority for data protection, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed.
